How these guides are written

Each guide starts from a question people in Gettysburg actually ask — on the phone, at the kitchen table, or in a search box at eleven at night after finding something dark behind a baseboard. We answer the question first, then explain the reasoning.

Where a guide describes remediation work, it describes it the way the published standards set it out. Containment, negative air, HEPA filtration, removal of porous materials that cannot be cleaned, and verification before rebuilding are not house style; they come from IICRC S520 and the EPA guidance listed above.

What we will not do

We do not publish invented customer reviews, and we do not claim certifications that nobody on this site holds. Where a guide mentions a certification, it is explaining what the certification means and why you might ask a contractor for it — not asserting that we carry it.

Health claims stay conservative and stay sourced. Mold exposure affects people very differently, and a remediation company is not the right party to tell you what a symptom means. Where a guide touches health, it points at CDC guidance and recommends you speak to a doctor.

Corrections

Guides carry a published date and an updated date, both of which move when the content changes. If something here is wrong, out of date, or reads as though it is promising more than it should, tell us and we will fix it.
